Additional Tables for 2007/2008 Older Worker Profiles

These supplementary and appendix tables contain significantly more detailed data than is presented in the 2007 Older Worker Profiles. Because QWI data are updated every quarter, the data reported in these static tables may not match exactly with the figures available through QWI Online, Industry Focus, or OnTheMap.

Tables are available by state and only for those states with a published Older Worker Profile. Forty-two different supplementary and appendix tables are provided and the descriptions of the contents of these tables are listed below. Each table can be downloaded individually in comma separated value (CSV) format, or all tables for a state can be downloaded in a compressed ZIP file. Note: The ZIP file also contains readme file with a description of the contents of each of the tables.

Note: Arkansas data is available from 2003 onward only. Tables for earlier years will be blank.

These tables cover civilian noninstitutionalized workers in the private sector only. The QWI database covers about 98 percent of nonagricultural, private wage, and salaried employment. While this report does not include federal government workers, most state and local government employees are included in the complete QWI database. The remaining 2 percent of the nonagricultural, private wage, and salaried workers are railroad workers and workers for some nonprofit organizations. Self-employed workers and independent contractors are not in the covered universe. For more information, see: U.S. Census Bureau, David W. Stevens. Employment That Is Not Covered by State Unemployment. LEHD Technical Paper, TP-2002-16. U.S. Census Bureau, Washington, DC. Available at http://lehd.did.census.gov/led/library/techpapers/tp-2002-16.pdf [PDF; File Size: 252KB].
